The University of Georgia Redcoat Band and Auxiliaries are known for their contributions to the school spirit, pride, musical excellence and traditions. The Redcoat organizations provide leadership for musical, twirling and dance organizations throughout the nation via alumni participation and educational example. For years, the Redcoat organization has needed a dedicated practice complex to serve as a "home" for day or night practices, to enable the Redcoats to prepare more completely for their charter.
With strong support from UGA and the dedicated alumni and friends of the Redcoat Band and Auxiliaries, we are making great progress toward this goal. Click here for an audio slide show of the 2009 band members at work on the newly-constructed field.
But we have much yet to do to complete construction of the finest collegiate marching band practice complex in existence. The facility needs signage, an instructional tower, seating, and storage space, among other enhancements. The complex will provide the Redcoats the tools needed to continue their college musical leadership position as "The Finest in the Land" ... And the 100 YARDS FOR 100 YEARS CAMPAIGN needs your support!
