"100 Yards for 100 Years Campaign"
The Redcoat Dedicated Practice Field Complex

Kickoff:

In December, 2005, the project was approved by the UGA Senior Administration so that the Alumni Association could begin a campaign to speed the construction of the practice complex.  During 2006, many venues were evaluated with the organization's requirements and the long range plan for university land use.  At Homecomning 2007, a fitting announcement was made to the Redcoat Alumni Band, and current Redcoats, about the decision to locate the complex within the Intramural Fields.  This exciting announcement kicked off Phase One of the fund raising campaign to raise $1 million to install an artificial turf playing field at the new location. Below is a rendering of the planned complex ... join a committee, and be a part of the campaign.

Rendering of the Future Redcoat Practice Complex"

From the inception, this project has had a goal of honoring two people who have been the largest influence on students and the programs since the inception.  For 35 years, Roger and Phyllis Dancz have been the shining stars credited for the initial Redcoat flair.  The current plan is to name the overall complex for these two visionaries.  There are many naming opportunities for the elements of the field for interested donors. See "Project Components" Section.
