Location Announcement: Homecoming 2007

Construction Schedule Phase One: Grading, lights, parking, transportation (parking & turnaround) - planned to be completed before Fall Semester 2008

Fund Raising Campaign to Raise first $1 million for artificial turf: Announced Homecoming 2007, goal deadline before end-July 2008.

Fund Raising Campaign to Raise $3.5 million for the complete complex: goal deadline before end-July 2009.

Early 2005 - Preliminary Drawings Prepared and presented to Redcoat Band Alumni Board

Summer 2005 - Dedicated Practice Complex Proposal Approved by the Hugh Hodgson School of Music and Franklin College and presented to UGA Administration

October 2005 - Dr. Donald R. Lowe, Director of the Hodgson School of Music and Franklin College Dean, Garnett Stokes, present Practice Facility proposal to UGA Administration and address Redcoat Alumni at Homecoming.

December 2005 - UGA Approves Redcoat Band’s Fundraising Campaign as part of UGA’s “Archway to Excellence Campaign.”

December 22, 2005 - Meeting with UGA Architect Staff to confirm the requirements for the complex.  Cost estimating tasks in progress.
