At Homecoming 2007, Dr. Arnett Mace, Senior Vice President and Provost for the University of Georgia, announced to the Redcoat Alumni Band, and the current Redcoat Band, the location of the new practice complex which will be the new Redcoat "home".  The University Architects evaluated the requirements of the group provided by the current Band Directors and the Redcoat Alumni Association Board and overlayed the long term land plan for the University to chose a location within the Intramural complex. Any decision about land use on the UGA campus involves detailed planning and such decisions encompass many factors.  We excited about this announcement and know what needs to be in place by the Fall semester of 2008 to help make the complex a reality.
