Ruthie and I are expecting our second child in July. Savannah is now 4 and she loves all things "Princess," dancing, and playing dress-up. We live in Duluth and love to catch-up with old Redcoat friends. Professionally, I continue to enjoy helping Georgia families with retirement income planning, and I'm entering my 10th year in that field. Ruthie is the middle school band director at Wesleyan School and has become quite the marathon runner. Please contact us and we would love to catch-up!

Chris (trombone) and I had a baby girl named Natalie Sept. 27th 2008. We found out 13 days later she had a congenital heart defect which was repaired successful with open heart surgery 7 days later. She is now a thriving toddler. I am working as a veterinarian part-time at Animal Medical Center of Lawrenceville and Chris is a wealth consultant at Abundance, LLC.

Hello Fellow Redcoats. I am living in Cobb, Ga. on the Flint River in an area known as Lake Blackshear. I teach piano to children and adults, play a beautiful pipe organ for the First United Methodist Church in Cordele, and continue to play the flute whenever asked. I am presently learning to play the guitar just to prove that I am not too old to learn something new.

Hey all you 70's Redcoats! We were the band that grew from 140 to 280 strong under the guidance of Roger Dancz and (hyperactive) Gary Teske. We were the band that did The Chant for the first time! How sweet it was, and still is during Alumni Band at Homecoming. Nothing like marching between the hedges to bring back memories! My husband, Mike and I reside in Loganville, Georgia. We have been happily married for 33 years, and have a 28 year old daughter who lives in San Francisco. I retired from DeKalb County Schools in May 2008 after 30 years of working with students with Severe Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Since then, I have filled my time with more musical endeavors - I play bassoon in three concert bands in the Atlanta area, and play marching bells in Seed & Feed Marching Abominable. I book the gigs for SFMA, and do marketing for Atlanta Concert Band. My spare time is reserved for going antiquing with Mike, caring for my 5 parrots, plus photography, reading, and outdoor activities. Hope to see more of the 70's group at Homecoming 2010!

In May, 2009, we sold our house and made the move to Marshville, NC, where I have become a full-time missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators. I am stationed at their JAARS base in Waxhaw, NC, where I am an IT Project Manager. Judy continues to work as a veterinarian with the FSIS of USDA, and Richard is in kindergarten at Carolina Christian School. If anyone would like to know more about missions, or bible translations in particular, please contact me! I love sharing about our ministry! Moving here ended my playing with the Sons of Jubal and the Thomaston Brass, so if anyone near the Charlotte area knows of a good community organization to play with near the SE side of Charlotte, please let me know!

I have been married for 8 years to my husband Donny and we have 3 children (Alex, Sarah and Brian). I think Brian will eventually be a defensive back for Georgia sometime after 2020. Alex could be the place kicker. Sarah will hopefully follow in Mommy's footsteps and be in the Redcoats!

I am Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Crescent Hotels & Resorts and reside in Richmond, VA with my boyfriend, Devin Heath. He is a UNC basketball fan, but cheers for UGA during football season. I have 2 wonderful boys, Josh is 21 & Hunter is 14. Hunter is a true Dawg fan, unfortunately Josh cheers for Ga. Tech (blame his father on that one). Anyway, GO DAWGS!
Charles Bragg 1950s1960s  Trumpet  10/18/2009 5:40:10 PM
My Dixie Redcoat Band seasons were Fall, 1958 to Fall, 1960. Not much has happened since!!! I started in the "numbers" racket right out of the chute (6/61) with a brand new MBA. Never having learned to do anything else I'm still CPA'ing nearly 50 years later. My first wife, Anita, is still with me - also 50 years - wed on 12/27/59. We have 3 children and 5 grands - ages 20 to 9 months. Four of the 5 live in Watkinsville with their Mom (our Cheri) and Dad (Allen Skinner, Athens native.) We've bought our retirement home in Athens and plan to move there in 2011 if the Lord doesn't call me first and I'm sent there as my "Heavenly" home, having early on accepted Jesus as my Saviour. I look forward to 2009 Homecoming and feeling the thrill of being on the field performing for 92,000 plus of my closest friends. "Once a Dawg, always a Dawg! How sweet it is."
Blaire Johnson 2000s  Majorette  9/24/2009 9:33:56 PM
Hi, I left Athens the day I graduated (May '05) and headed to Mt. Pleasant, SC. I love it here. I married Travis Johnson (UGA '97) in March of '07. In August of '08 we welcomed our little boy (Ty). I'm enjoying staying home with my son and have no desire to teach him how to twirl the baton. :-)
