FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION - New

The Redcoat Band Alumni Association (RBAA) will host the largest instrument fundraising event in the 105-year history of the Redcoat Band on Friday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

The gala, entitled “Nothin’ Finer in the Land,” is part of the 2010 All-Silver Instrument campaign, a fundraising effort to replace instruments used by the band, some of which are more than 40 years old. The event, which coincides with Homecoming week at UGA, will feature Vince and Barbara Dooley as keynote speakers.

Tickets to the event are $60 each or $100 for a couple. Guests can sponsor a table of 8 for $600. Ticket price includes dinner and two drink tickets. Corporate sponsorships are available. Link Here

Homecoming Preparation

Your RBAA Board of Directors works year round to plan a wonderful day for you.  If you performed with the Redcoats during your time at UGA, you can perform pre-game with the Redcoat Alumni Band this year at Homecoming.  The day begins with a morning rehearsal, optional BBQ lunch, pre-game performance and after-the-game dessert event.  All details, music and auxiliary routines will be available from this web site for you to print and review prior to Homecoming.  Your envelope will contain your nametags, game tickets and event wristbands and will be available for pickup only before the morning rehearsal.

Online Registration

For the past ten years, registration has been handled online, with confirmations emailed to the current email address on your profile.  If you have participated in Homecoming before, you have a profile on this site.  During the registration process, you will confirm or change your current contact information.

Sanford Stadium Access

In order to perform, you must have a game ticket to get ino the stadium and a current nametag to get on the field.  The UGA Athletic Department is again cooperating with us and offering a block of tickets for purchase. If you have a game ticket, you need not order through this registration process.  Performer Tickets and Family tickets are available for $48 ($45, plus a $3 charge to partially offset Homecoming items like nametags, postcard mailings and the "How Sweet It Is" dessert function after-the-game).  If you have your own game ticket, your registration will add the $3 to the amount due.  Checks must be received for all tickets by August 31, 2010, or your ticket reservation may be cancelled.

Redcoat "How Sweet It Is" Dessert - Tate Center - After the Game

cakeRedcoats, past and present, are invited to the Tate Center after-the-game to share more time and more stories together.  Enjoy some cake with your fellow performers to celebrate the Dawg win, and let the traffic get out of Athens before you leave.  There is no additional charge.  The event is included as part of your $3 participation, and will start right after the playing of Tara's Theme!

Music, Marching Position, Auxiliary Routines

Our plan is to have all these items ready to download ahead of time so you can practice and be prepared for the rehearsal.  Our plan is to have rehearsal assistants on the field to help guide us to our proper positions on the first "run through".

Tentative Schedule - New

Since the game time can be controlled by the TV coverage, the schedule will be posted later.  For a 1pm game the morning rehearsal will start at 7am.
