The Declaration of Independence, a film created for broadcast before Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6, features a score by Steve Dancz, director of the UGA Jazz Studies program in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. The score, highlighted by trumpet soloist Chuck Arnold, will be released immediately following the Super Bowl broadcast on iTunes and Amazon this week as “Declaration Anthem.”  “The Declaration of Independence” film also features an introduction and perspective from retired Army Gen. Colin Powell and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and includes current and former NFL players reading excerpts from the Declaration of Independence, with participants chosen for their extraordinary service to team and country.
